More than a MILLION copies in readers' hands!

When I pressed publish for the first time in November of 2012, I crossed my fingers and prayed with my whole heart that just a few people that I wasn't related to would buy and read my book.

That was my only goal.

I am stunned and proud to announce that not only did that dream come true, but as of today, more than ONE MILLION COPIES of my books are currently in readers' hands.

That's a lot of books, my friends.

All I can really say is thank you. From the bottom of my heart. It's an honor and a privilege to know that you spend your hard-earned money on my stories. That you love my characters as much as I do, and welcome them into your hearts like family.

I'm a reader too. I get it. The magnitude of this is not lost on me.

And so it's with grateful tears and a humble heart that I say again, thank you. Without you, I wouldn't be living this wild, amazing, stunning life.

And let me tell you, it's a wild ride.

So to thank you properly, I think we need a giveaway. Here's what's up for grabs:

A signed full set of the With Me In Seattle Series.
A signed copy of Loving Cara.
A signed Galley copy of Seducing Lauren.
A signed t-shirt from Cafe du Monde.
A $25 Amazon OR iTunes gift card (winner's choice).

One lucky winner will win the whole lot! THIS IS OPEN INTERNATIONALLY. You have until July 20, 2014 to enter.  To enter, simply comment below and tell me how you were first introduced to my books. I'd love to hear your stories!

Thank you, each of you. ONE MILLION BOOKS. Wow. That's a lot of words.

Happy Reading,
Kristen

  13. Well, I stay at home and take care of my mom, she isn't well and I am an only child, so it all falls on me. She moved in with my husband and I, and our lives totally changed. We really are VERY limited in what we are able to do anymore...she can't be left alone. I used to be an avid reader, but hadn't read in quite awhile. A few years ago, my husband bought me a Kindle for Christmas, cause he thought I was home a lot with my mom and I could start reading again. I didn't even know where to begin, so I just started searching the bookstore on my Kindle. I saw the first book in the Seattle series...sounded awesome to me, so I bought it...I could NOT put it down! I continued with the series, then found out that I could connect with other readers and YOU, here on FB...OMG...I was never so happy! I love you so much, you started me out, and I would read anything you wrote...thanks so much for this opportunity and for giving me such an "escape" from my otherwise "difficult" reality!! <3 <3

  16. My family and I were planning a trip to Seattle via train. I had done some research on "things to do in Seattle", while the same day I had Googled romance books, as I was looking for a great book to read on the train. My search engine put the two searches together (?) and Come Away With Me showed up. Not only did I have a great vacation, but I found a fantastic book and a new favorite author! Congratulations on your success and thank you for the chance at this giveaway!!!!

  41. Congrats on reaching 1 million! That is an amazing accomplishment in 2 years time! I first saw Come Away With Me on my Amazon recommendation list. I have to say that from page one I was hooked. I am so in love with both the Montgomery and Williams families. It is hard to pick one character that I love the most but my friend told me I had to choose and I go with Caleb all the way. The way you captured PTSD and the struggle of someone in the Military was just amazing. From one military wife to another you just get it. I can't wait to read Dom's story but will be sad that this series may come to a close. And not to take way from your new series Montana Sky because I am addicted already! Thank you for bringing such great characters to life and giving this Mom of 2 something to make me smile at the end of a tiring day!

  75. I have a serious obsession with book covers. My theory is if I fall in love with a cover then I would automatically love the book. This has yet to fail me. :-) One day I was looking through the amazon recommendations based on the book I have recently read. I saw the cover for Play With Me and fell in love but it was not release yet. So looked you up and then saw that this was part of a series and it was the 3rd book. When I saw the cover for Come Away With Me I just new I had to start the series. Read the first books available and was in LOVE. I was itching for Play With Me. This itch still continues till this day with all of your books. BTW I need to find a Montgomery!! Like NOW. Lol.

CONGRATS and thank you for writing such wonderful stories! Completely in love. I have also passed on my love of your books to one of my friends and she feels the same way. :-)

  84. Kristen,
Reading is a personal thing for me and I can imagine a lot of others as well. I found Come Away With Me on Amazon quite by accident when it first hit the site. I have no idea if I paid for it or it was free but boy I am glad I hit the purchase button. Finding that book was a God send for me at that point in time...a little escape from a career that was sucking the life out of me at that point in time and to come home and read about the Montgomery's was such a stress reliever. I looked forward to each new release whether it is from the Away With Me series (which I will be sad to see end) or the beginning of a new series. So thank you, Kristen, for hours of fun, laughs and some hot Alpha men! Congrats on all the great things that are coming your way---you do really deserve them.

  121. Congratulations Kristen. You deserve this and so much more. I love you. I love your books. I was perusing Amazon one day I came across the blurb come away with me it was amazing. Intrigued me a lady on a beach taking pictures and a jerk off a guy accusing her of taking pictures of him. that started my affinity for the Kristen Proby. I quickly at that book a and then I moved on to the novela, then fight with me, play with me, rock with me, safe with me, tied with me, breathe with me, and the Big Sky series. . I have introduced so many from my my friends to your books. I will continue to pimp you out until the day you cease to write. Since then, I now have over 1500 romance stories (I have not read them all yet) in a binder to keep up with all of them and track my upcoming purchases. You are one of the only authors that I will buy the new ebook the day it is released no matter what. One, because I have no doubt it will be awesome, and two, because I have been counting down the days till it's release. I first discovered Come Away With Me at the end of 2012 on Amazon, it was one of my recommendations based on other books I had bought. My favorite is a tie between Nate in Fight With Me and Matt in Tied With Me. I can't wait for what's to come!

I'm so sad to see that it is coming to an end! Maybe you can do a book 9 wrapping up all the couples..... : )

  157. First off, I just want to congratulate you on this amazing achievement! This is just the first million....the second one will no be far behind!
I first discovered your first 2 books in the With Me in Seattle series last March. It was a depressing kind of day and cruising Amazon for a new book to read, I was flashing through the recommendations and came across Come Away with Me. It sounded like a great read so after a one click, I settled down into my reading chair and got started. Four hours later after a run to the bathroom and kitchen for supplies, I was scrambling back to my computer to get the other two. All I have to say is thank god it was my days off! After devouring them, I sat feeling like I just got off a roller coaster ride and needed to find more of your books! I was officially a Proby Fan!
Your amazing ability of writing a scene that keeps you wanting to turn that next page so bad, but you want to devour it because you know that whatever it is, its going to be so gooodddd!!! I don't know how many fellow readers that I have recommended your books to but anyone I have, has thanked me over and over again! You have made such an impact on so many readers lives! Every time a new book comes out, it's like Christmas, running to the kindle, seeing it on your screen and finally being able to open the first page...oh gosh I can't wait for Seducing Lauren!!
Congrats again! You are fabulous! As a proud Proby fan, I can't wait for what next!

    ReplyDelete
  158. Well, what can I say, first of all congratulations, the accolades are well deserved. Your books are spectacular and I can say one of the few series I can say I have read more that 2 times (that's each book). That's wo counting listening to them in Audible, while at work. I know I speak for everyone when I say, I wish it wasn't the end, that you decide to write a novella after your done with Dominic. I would honestly hoped for one book, Asher ' s 'cause he is like a brother to Matt, but Your the writer and as a fan I respect your decision, and you're still one of my faves

  160. Way to go on the stellar accomplishment! What a feat to reach in less than 2 years. I came across Fight With Me on Amazon after being recommended it due to my other reads. I fell in book love with Nate and Jules. From there, I read every book as it came out. I don't stick with series unless they are excellent. I didn't read Come Away With Me until recently and was really kicking myself after reading it sooner. What a great story. BUT!!!!.....no one has topped Nate and Jules for me in Fight With Me in this series or any other book. They hold the #1 spot on my loaded kindle for favorite romance book. I read around 3 romance books a week, and that makes for a full kindle. Having the #1 favorite book on my kindle is a huge pat on the back to you. If I had paperbacks still, the binding on Fight With Me would be worn out from re-reading it so many times.

Please keep writing awesome romance books. I love the drama, happiness, tears, sex, etc. so don't change your writing! I cannot wait to see what is next for you.

  167. I have always been a reader, always but I had a new baby and hadn't read in about a year. I resisted ebooks, and swore I would never read them. About two years ago I wanted a book but only had my Ipad. I downloaded the kindle app, and found a couple books. I was so so on it until I read Come Away a With Me. Add to it that I could read on my Ipad or phone anywhere, like standing in line at the store, and that I could get awesome books day or night? I was sold. From your books I found Emily Snow and Michelle Valentine. My love for all books grew tenfold when I found indie authors. I have read a thousand books and more in the last couple years.

Naturally everything is put on the backburner when you release a new book, I just have to start reading. I loved every single one as if they were my own family! And how I love the BIG O talks! HAHAHAHA!!! When I read With Me in Seattle, I was going through a very rough point in my life and it made me believe in myself, restored my faith in things, and also made me want to fall in love again. You as an author, you helped me through a difficult point in my life and your characters hold a very special in my heart. I've read every single With Me In Seattle series book from the very beginning! These characters are very near and dear to me and when I read your stories it feels like coming home. I've also read every single one of your books and you're an amazing author! Thank you for your stories and thank you for unknowingly changing my life! I'm forever indebted to you! Congratulations on all of your success! It is very well earned!!!

  186. Back when I first got my Kindle (years ago) I had no idea what to do with it! I'd never read indie books and didn't know where to look or who to buy. I don't remember how I stumbled across Come Away With Me, but it was one of the first e-books I bought! After immediately reading Nate and Jules story, you were added to my short list of automatic reads. :) Congratulations!

  187. You!! The one and only Kristen Proby introduced me to her books. I had this awesome neighbor. A social butterfly of sorts. She came over and introduced herself and invited my family to a street cookout. Little did I know she would turn out to be one of the best romance authors I have ever read. I have introduced a few of my friends to your books. Everyone that has read them say they are absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work. A toast to your next million. Love you!
